Pro-Drive, a leading staffing and recruiting agency in the UK, is seeking an experienced 7.5 tonne Driver to join their team. Responsibilities
* Safely transport goods/products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
* Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues
* Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, optimizing time and resources
* Load and unload cargo properly, ensuring it is secure and undamaged during transit
* Communicate with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
* Document and maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
* Adhere to Pro-Drive's safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others on the road
Requirements
* Valid 7.5 tonne driver's license
* Valid CPC & Tacho
* Proven experience as a professional 7.5 tonne Driver, preferably in a similar industry
* Strong knowledge of road safety rules and regulations
* Ability to handle various types of cargo
* Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS systems
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions, while also being a strong team player
* Physical stamina to handle the demands of long drives and manual labour associated with loading/unloading cargo
* Flexibility to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays
* Basic computer skills for documenting deliveries and maintaining records
