Contract Scotland are working with one of Australia’s Tier 1 contractors who are seeking talented and experienced Project Managers from the UK to join their team in Perth, Western Australia to deliver a major rail extension project south of the city.

This challenging and transformative $800m rail extension project involves 8km of rail line, along with the construction of an elevated rail line, allowing for the removal of level crossings and new stations.

We are looking for 3x Project Managers for:

Civils
Stations
Viaducts/Structures
These roles will report to the Construction/Project Director and you be responsible for managing your own section of works by leading a team to drive effective delivery outcomes, solving engineering and technical issues, monitoring the construction program in line with the overall project program, adhering to H&S elements and monitoring and controlling quality.

Key responsibilities

Lead a large multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of the overall project scope within the time, cost, quality and safety requirements.
Drive high performance through collaboration, positive leadership, identification of risks, and interface with clients and authorities, and support the Project Director to ensure client and community expectations are managed.
Ensure that safety is an integral component of all construction planning and processes.
Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
Promote and deliver to project vision and values ensuring site teams are effectively cooperating and integrating across the project.
About you

Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex/major infrastructure projects in the UK, with experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
Experience working as a Project Manager with civil engineering contractors in the UK. Rail project experience is preferable.
A degree in Civil Engineering
Extensive construction experience including construction planning and management, leading teams, budgeting and planning, procurement, risk management, client management, dispute/issue resolution.
