Description:
Our client, based in Basildon has a newly created role for a 3PL Product Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis. As an integral part of the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and streamlining the existing 3rd party logistics product, whilst enhancing the efficiency, compliance and commercial opportunities. The 3PL Product Manager role involves: -
* Continuously improving service efficiency across all operations.
* Implementing best practices and streamlining processes to enhance operational performance.
* Identifying and integrating industry trends to develop and innovate the 3PL product.
* Working on new commercial opportunities to expand the product offering.
* Ensuring clients are highly satisfied with the level of service and solutions provided.
* Acting as a key point of contact for client feedback and implementing necessary improvements.
* Identifying, following up and overseeing the smooth transition of new business.
* Providing subject matter expertise and support to the team on service offering.
* Reviewing, mentoring, motivating and engaging the team to achieve high performance.
* Facilitating professional development opportunities for team members.
* Working closely with the IT Department to integrate client systems seamlessly.
* Liaising with the Branch Managers and Senior Management to align business goals.
* Providing practical support in client preparations for solution development.
* Analysing operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective plans.
* Managing relationships with current agents and ensure they meet company standards.
* Profit and Loss Responsibility.
* Managing the financial performance of the product, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
You will
* A minimum of 2 years logistics experience together with a broad understanding of 3PL Logistics trends, procedures and practices.
* Team management experience and good commercial experience and awareness.
* Excellent organisational skills and capable of working at a fast pace.
* To be highly process-driven with a methodical approach to tasks and problem-solving.
* The ability to adopt and manage change effectively whilst demonstrating flexibility.
* A strong personality to deal with changes and challenges confidently, maintaining resilience and composure / a professional and focused approach with a high level of attention and detail.
* Strong IT skills and understanding.
* Attention to analytics and conformance with defined procedures in tight timelines.
* Exceptional communication skills / customer focused with desire to strive for excellence.
* Positive ‘can do’ attitude and highly ambitious approach.
* Increased level of flexibility to meet timelines on reporting.
In return for your hard work, our client is offering a salary of £40,000 - £50,000pa, a wide range of company benefits and great opportunities to further develop your career.
The working hours for this role are 9.00 – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
