Working Model / Location: On site / St Helens

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs, schematics, and technical drawings for custom electrical switchgear.
Conduct feasibility studies and performance evaluations to ensure designs meet technical specifications and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into practical solutions, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related issues and implementing necessary modifications.
Participate in design reviews, offering insights and recommendations to enhance product performance and reliability.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and product offerings.
Experience Required:
HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience working as a CAD & Design Engineer in the field of electrical switchgear design or similar industries.
Proficiency in CAD software (Preferably SolidWorks) and other design tools.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, schematics, and components.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to electrical switchgear design (e.g., ANSI, IEC) is preferred
