360 Excavator Operator / Groundworker

Location: Middlesbrough
Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator who is happy to jump off the machine and assist with all-round groundworks for an active site in Middlesbrough. We are partnering with a prominent regional contractor requiring a skilled operator proficient in machine operation, trenching, precise grading, and hands-on kerbing.
If you have a valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (above/below 10 tonnes), proven groundworks experience, and a flexible work ethic, we have an immediate start available now.
The Role
360 Excavator Operation: Operating 360 excavators safely and efficiently for footings, trenching, muck shifting, and sub-base grading.
Kerbing & Edging: Getting off the machine to assist with setting out, laying, and bed-and-backing kerbs, edgings, and channels.
All-Round Groundworks: Carrying out shallow drainage, pipe laying, hand digging, backfilling, and concrete pours as needed.
Site Safety & Maintenance: Conducting daily machine checks, reporting defects, and strictly following site health and safety protocols.
Requirements
Tickets & Accreditation: Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (Above & Below 10 Tonnes preferred) with valid CSCS alignment.
Experience: Proven track record in 360 operation combined with strong, hands-on all-round groundworks skills (kerbing/civils focus).
Tools & Kit: Standard 5-point PPE and basic hand tools (trowel, level, line & pins).
Reliability: Punctual, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a dynamic groundworks gang.
Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
