2nd Line IT Support Engineer | Peterborough (Onsite) 3 Month Contract | £17.01 per hour | Enchanced DBS - Updates Service Preferred
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join a busy IT team within a school environment in Peterborough. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will provide day-to-day technical support across the organisation, ensuring staff and students receive a high-quality IT service.
This is a hands-on position supporting Microsoft technologies, resolving escalated support tickets, assisting with infrastructure projects, and helping to develop junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 2nd line support for users across the school.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and system issues.
Support and administer Microsoft 365, Windows and Active Directory environments.
Assist with SCCM administration, software deployments and device management.
Work closely with the IT Manager on infrastructure-related tasks and projects.
Support, mentor and provide guidance to junior IT staff.
Manage and resolve escalated service desk tickets.
Maintain accurate documentation and technical records.
