Location: St Helens, Merseyside (WA10)
Start Date: November/December 2026
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
Contract: Permanent Opportunity

Looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant role in a supportive primary school?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a popular and highly regarded Catholic primary school in St Helens to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from November or December 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming school community that prides itself on nurturing every child, promoting excellent behaviour, and creating a positive learning environment where pupils thrive academically and personally.

The successful candidate will provide classroom support across Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential while contributing to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for someone who:

Has recent experience working within a primary school setting
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
Has experience supporting pupils in KS2
Builds strong relationships with children and colleagues
Is proactive, enthusiastic and committed to helping pupils succeed
Demonstrates patience, adaptability and excellent communication skills
Can commit to a full-time, long-term position
