Description:
Our client is looking for 2 Assistant Site Managers to start on a 10 week fitout project in Southampton.
Job roles include, but are not limited to:
* Assist in planning and coordinating construction activities.
* Help develop and follow project schedules.
* Monitor progress and report issues.
* Supervise on-site workers and subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
* Conduct site inspections for quality control.
* Liaise between the Senior Site Manager, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Coordinate deliveries and manage materials.
* Communicate and resolve on-site issues promptly.
* Maintain project records, logs, and reports.
* Assist with necessary documentation like permits and inspection reports.
* Track expenses and help manage the budget.
* Enforce safety protocols and conduct briefings.
* Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
* Address and resolve on-site issues.
* Troubleshoot construction-related problems.
* Escalate unresolved issues to the Site Manager.
* Inspect work for quality standards.
* Conduct quality control checks.
* Ensure defects are rectified promptly.
You would have worked on similar fitout projects and hold a valid SMSTS & First Aid at Work qualifications.
Start on site is Monday 24th June, and the job will run for 10 weeks for the right candidate.
