1st Line Support Technician, Kidlington, £20,000 - £25,000
A leading Managed Services Provider based on the outskirts of Oxford is looking to recruit a 1st Line IT Support Technician to work in their client’s stunning rural office location. As part of a team of dedicated technicians, you’ll be providing 1st Line Support to approx. 1100 users covering cutting edge hardware, software and infrastructure technologies.
Supporting one of the UK’s largest firms within their industry, this role combines both end-user support with more technical hands-on troubleshooting. If you want to make a move into a more technical environment, then I highly recommend that you apply for this role.
The role:
The 1st Line IT Support Technician will provide support to a diverse group of approx. (Apply online only) users, responding to incidents and requests in line with company SLA’s. You’ll be the first point of contact for all IT queries submitted via telephone, self-service portal and walk-up, keeping users updated as you progress. You’ll deal with a variety of hardware, software, telephony and mobile device issues, and will have the opportunity to gain insight into infrastructure-based technology.
About you:
The successful 1st Line IT Support Technician will need to be self-motivated, conscientious, methodical and organised, with the ability to liaise with clients at all levels of a business whilst demonstrating excellent customer service at all times. You’ll possess a logical approach to problem solving and will already be experienced in a similar role.
Essential skills:
Windows 10, MS Office 365/2016
Active Directory administration
Incident Management and Call Logging tools e.g. Cherwell, Remedy, Service Now
Desktop/Laptop/Mobile hardware
Desirable skills:
MS Office 365
MS SCCM
Apple mobile device support
IP Telephony (Avaya or iPECS)
Audio and Video support – MS Teams or Zoom
Desirable qualifications:
Any of the following: ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, CompTIA A+
