1:1 Teaching Assistant

Description:

Progress Teachers are currently recruiting for a KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a full time basis to start immediately in Burton-on-Trent.

There is an opportunity to become permanent in the new academic year for the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

. Work with two KS2 pupils (Year 4-Year 5) both in and out of the classroom.

. Support pupils in the classroom and provide regular sensory breaks when pupils become dysregulated

· Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

· Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

· Adapt your approach to meet the needs of each pupil

Requirements:

· Have a background in Education, Youth Work, Family Support Worker or Children’s Residential Support Work.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with KS2 students

· Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs.

· A DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
