Job title: Full-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant – 1:1 SupportThe Education Specialists are seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Netherton.
This is a full-time role supporting a bright Reception pupil with additional needs consistent with ASD. The pupil would benefit from individual support with emotional regulation, attention and concentration, social interaction and understanding personal boundaries. They have a keen interest in space and geography, which can be used to encourage engagement and learning.

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS or primary education
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism or social and emotional needs, is desirable
A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
Understanding of emotional regulation, social communication and positive behaviour strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through The Education SpecialistsThe successful EYFS Teaching Assistant will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
Help develop attention, concentration and engagement in learning
Support emotional regulation and transitions between activities
Encourage positive social interactions and an understanding of boundaries
Use the pupil's interests to promote learning, confidence and independence
