Job Title:  1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bournemouth and Christchurch

Salary: £12.82 per hour

Start date: Summer term 2024 with September positions considered

We are looking for a pro-active and committed individuals to support pupils with special educational needs or SEMH. The school’s focus is providing a nurturing environment that enables all pupils to engage successfully in all aspects of learning, despite any potential barriers to learning.

Role of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

Supporting the class Teacher, implementing behaviour policies  
Embrace all aspects of the school’s visions and core values
Working with pupils with complex needs, challenging behaviours and additional learning needs
1:1 and small group work ensuring pupils stay engaged and motivated
The ideal candidate will:

Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient! - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding!
Experience working within a SEN/SEMH school (preferred, not essential), or experience working with children or adults with additional needs
A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
