£95-£110 per day (DOE) | Long-term & Daily Supply | Immediate and September Starts

Some roles are about managing groups. This one is about one child.

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you'll be dedicated to a specific pupil with complex SEND needs. You'll know their triggers, their strengths, their routines and their goals better than almost anyone else in that building. That kind of work takes patience, consistency and a genuine desire to make a difference, one session at a time.

Direct support from Josh, Branch Manager, one point of contact throughoutWhat the role involves:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with an EHCP and complex SEND needs
Implementing strategies and interventions outlined in the pupil's support plan
Supporting access to the curriculum through adapted resources and differentiated approaches
Helping the pupil develop independence, confidence and social skills
Communicating regularly with class teachers and the SENCO
Following safeguarding procedures at all timesWhat we need from you:

Experience working 1:1 with children or young people with SEND needs
Patient, consistent and adaptable approach
Ability to build a trusted relationship with a pupil who may find change difficult
Understanding of EHCPs and how to implement support plans effectively
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications are helpful but experience and character matter mostWhat Simply Education Offers:
