Actual Starting Salary: £31,404 - £33,234 per annum
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Our partner school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk caters for children with a range of emotional, behavioural and associated learning difficulties of a degree which frustrates or seriously impedes progress in mainstream education. Many pupils have also experienced long-term difficulties in their lives outside school. The school fosters a positive learning environment, where pupils can thrive academically and socially. They have also been praised for their confident and aspirational leadership, receiving a ‘good’ rating from Ofsted. We are currently looking for a 1:1 Education and Care Support Worker to join the school to add their expertise to the team.
1:1 Education and Care Support Worker Essential Requirements
* Experience: Working with children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviour. You may have Teacher/HLTA/Therapy Assistant experience.
* Driving Licence: Must have a driving licence and use of own vehicle.
About the Pupils
Pupils are 13-14-year-old boys currently not accessing education within a school setting. Previously, they attended a specialist school for students with SEMH needs and have been receiving one-to-one education at various alternative provisions.
1:1 Education and Care Support Worker Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher/HLTA/Therapy Assistant to deliver educational provisions to these pupils. Your role will involve:
* Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
* Creating activities that enhance pupils' cultural capital.
* Devising lesson plans and measuring progress, both academic and social/emotional.
* Planning weekly timetables.
* Coordinating with outside agencies involved with the pupils in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
