* Use a range of communication strategies and visual supports to encourage engagement and understanding.
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO, and external professionals to implement targets outlined within the EHCP.
* Support the development of communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence skills.
* Adapt resources and activities to meet the child's individual needs.
* Build a positive and trusting relationship to help the child feel safe, secure, and ready to learn.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to relevant school staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Experience supporting children with ASD and communication needs.
* Knowledge of strategies such as visual timetables, PECS, Makaton, or other communication approaches would be advantageous.
* A patient, nurturing, and understanding approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* The ability to remain calm, flexible, and proactive in supporting the child's needs.
* A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential.
