Rate: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the School

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Wakefield that is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. The school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a pupil with additional learning and/or behavioural needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs throughout the school day.
Assist with the implementation of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
Support the pupil's emotional wellbeing, social development, and independence.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the pupil receives the appropriate support.
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual's needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom environment.What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Experience working with children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs, is desirable.
A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting young people.
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.To Be Eligible, You Must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
