The Role:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1-1 Support Assistant to join our client Primary School in September 2024. In this role, you will work closely with a KS1 student, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring the student is fully engaged in their learning.
* Providing emotional and social support to help the student integrate and interact with their peers.
* Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Monitoring and recording the student’s progress and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.
Requirements:
* Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.
* Experience in supporting students with SEND, specifically ASD.
* A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
