Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A welcoming primary school in Peacehaven is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to encourage positive engagement and learning.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support and interventions.
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of the pupil's development.
Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school-based experience is desirable).
Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
Be confident implementing behaviour management strategies.
Hold a relevant qualification or have strong experience in a similar role.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
